Kaala Chashma

We had a nice dinner at Kaala Chashma, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes along with some mocktails. The Sangri mocktail was hit and miss, but surprisingly, the Mango Imli one was really good - tangy and reminded me of Kacchi Kairi candy. We tried several chicken starters, all good except for the Kulcha bomb. For the main course, Chicken Handi was tasty, and one full portion was enough for five of us. The Chicken Dum Biryani was okay, nothing extraordinary. I had a good laugh checking out their menu; the names are really punny and clever! The staff was polite and helpful, and the atmosphere was perfect for a family dinner. No issues with parking space either. Overall, I think the menu offers good value for the price.

We visited the place on a Tuesday night, having reserved a table via Zomato. They have valets available, a time saver since it's along a service road. We ordered Chicken Popcorn, Butter Chicken Kulcha Bombs, Shaitani Chicken Bao, Nachos and a Himalayan Tea. The Popcorn and the butter chicken bombs were wonderful! The place has a great ambience and a fairly long menu to keep you coming back for more!

One of the few restrobar in Thane which gives you a proper feeling to enjoy your evenings with the friends. As the name suggests, the theme is Bollywood and all the items in the menu are named after Bollywood characters / dialogues. Bollywood music (fairly loud) goes on and there is big screen to cast live sports. The food is good and nicely served. The service is average. Some waiters still needs to be trained. The ambience is good The pricing is average. Alcohol is served chilled. Overall the experience was good and i would not mind going again with the friends here. Of course you would not get the kids here.

Great ambience with Live Music (Visited on Tuesday Evening). The small platters in their menu was really good with main course being average. Service is upto the mark. We had ordered: 1. Naan and Lacha Parantha - 4/5 Overall recommended for one time visit.

Loved the food! Very tasty and portion size was quite good. The butter garlic prawns and the “butter chicken naan bombs” were THE BEST! The music & vibes were really great! The “Kaala chashma Signature” dessert was really tasty. The brownie and the mousse inside was perfect! Would re-visit the place again!
