Suraj Dhaba

While travelling to mumbai we were very hungry was eagerly searching for some good dhabas nearby village and couldn't find one. We were so hungry that we couldn't control saw this dhaba nearby and stopped by seeing the exterior we predicted that food will be average but it surprised us the food was chumeshwari awesome. We ordered Chicken Mughlai 4.5/5 Chicken Afghani 4/5 Butter roti 4/5 was little bit soggy in centre due to butter. Tandoor roti 5/5 must try perfect crisp and cooked. Jeera rice 3.5/5 rice was little uncooked. Panner masala 4/5. Ambience was average but food quality and taste was beyond good.

Visited this place in the monsoon but first we tried out another famous restaurant nearby but as it was a long weekend it was too crowded! Thank God for the crowd because we would never have found this hidden gem! This place is so nice, peaceful and serine. The staff to top it all is so attentive and helpful! The lack of crowds makes it easier for them to tend to the customers with more care and attention. The lack of crowds would also make most people worry about the food and the restaurant in general! But fear not! The food was actually amazing!🍴 The chicken crispy which would be annoyingly sweet in many places was at the perfect balance of sweet and spicy!(and extra crispy). The main course was the chicken kadai with butter garlic naan. THE CHICKEN KADAI i tell you, is AMAZING! I even took the last drop off the serving spoon😜. The location faces a big mountain covered in fog for the view, spacious parking upfront and the seating is spacious with the weather(especially in the monsoon) being so amazing they never need to switch on the fan! Another fun addition is the images of all the famous Lonavala sightseeing locations in the vicinity! The staff needs a special thank you for being so hospitable and honest as when I ordered six naans, he suggested that I order only three as they are big and even when I ordered a second curry he suggested to try just one! And he was absolutely right! The food was so good! We(mom, sis and me) ate so much and still took some naans parcel as we cudn't finish it, all this with a finisher lassi for just 1200/- Thank you so much for the amazing experience!
