Culver's

The Butter Burger at Culvers is a fastfood burger that doesn't taste like fastfood!! Always delicious! The crinkle cut fries Are always on point also! I always get the double butter burger because I feel like that is a better meat/bun ratio. Today I got a side of six butterfly fried shrimp. For fast food shrimp, I guess they were pretty good. But going forward, I will definitely be sticking with the butter burger and crinkle cut fries!

In my opinion, Culver's has started going down hill. It was all exciting when they started popping up everywhere but they really haven't been worth revisiting since. I will say that the fries at this store were fantastic and very salty and the custard was good as always but everything else was subpar at best.

This was our first time eating in Culver's. The girl working the register seemed super friendly but spoke so fast we had to keep asking her to repeat herself. We're from Chicago so we can normally understand fast talkers but she was on a whole 'nother level. My wife ordered a cheeseburger which came totally plain with no ingredients or condiments on it. I'm not sure if she was supposed to tell the person taking the order what she wanted on it, but they never mentioned it when she placed her order. There were brooms and dustpans laying on the ground sticking out where people were trying to walk and I saw two different people trip on them. I watched three different employees walk past them without picking them up. The garbage can in the lobby had no bag in it. An employee told us to "use the other one" but didn't tell us where that was. We found one near the exit. The food was really good (except my wife's burger being plain), I just hoped for more here. I might go back and see if that night was the exception. EDIT: We tried it again and it was a better experience. The lobby was cleaner this time. The person taking our order did not ask my wife what she wanted on her burger, but instead asked if we wanted anything else. I had to remind my wife to tell them what she wanted on her burger, and she would have ended up with another plain burger if I hadn't. The food was really good. I ordered a classic bacon double burger and loved it. I also added a side of onion rings which were really nice. Lastly, they have Cherry Pepsi on tap which is something that always puts a smile on my face.
