Chicago Style Gyros

Sometimes you can forgive the state of a place if the food is really good, but this was not the case. The establishment is really run down. Windows clearly haven't been washed in ages, the place is in desperate need of paint and a variety of repairs. Weeds grow all over what little lawn exists as well as in the cracks of the cement. If it weren't for the cars in the lot, I would have thought it was shut down. The people working the counter were friendly. I think it's family run? I do like that you can order your gyro or salad pretty much anyway you like, but the food was simply passable. I've had better gyros at chain restaurants which is sad. It wasn't bad per say, I just know I can get better elsewhere.

I visited here once. I had an overall good experience. The man working was pretty friendly but busy. Yes, there was only one person working and that will make service a little slower sometimes. All things considered though our service was timely. The food was excellent. Everything was VERY fresh. The plates are a good size for what you pay. It took my mom and I two days to finish our plates. I will definitely go back here if I'm ever through the area again and I would recommend it to anyone who likes this type of food.

The look of the place is not great BUT the staff has always been friendly to me and the food is awesome. The salads are always fresh and the meat is warm and cooked well. We always get to-go style and I think the portions are perfect. No bells and whistles but definitely worth a try; they've been there for years so they must be doing something right.

When my husband and I arrived, there was only one person working. The service was slow, but nothing major. The quality of our meals was noticed more than the wait time. I love this location. I have visited other locations, but this location is my favorite. Excellent food! I had the chicken plate; my husband had the Philly cheese steak gyro meal.

Nice busy location. Place seems old and tired, yes that's true but saw past reviews about cleanliness, and I have to say they have no issues. Once again it's not new or in a fancy part of town. Gyros are a mouthful and delicious for being in the middle of TN. Have wonderful flavor and try their Mango tea. I was pleasantly surprised. Would certainly go back there for the food, not ambiance. Service experience was on par from what I'd expect from a place like this.

Being Greek I'm critical of dishes like Gyros but always fair. Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to try the offerings here. I brought my daughter here on a Saturday when I was visiting the area based on the reviews with only a quick glance at them. When I arrived the service was slow but by all appearances this is s family run establishment with some working the front while others are helping cook. I've got no problem with that. While the single person in line was ordering in front of me the cashier/owner/father called out to the back to his presumed young tween aged son to cut meat from the gyro machine and bring it up front. As he was coming to the front holding the food you could see that the poor young man had three sniffles and after he put down the meat, the boy reached up to his runny nose wiping it with the back of his hand. I and my daughter started to leave as the owner called out trying to get me to stay thinking I was concerned over the time it wad taking. This could have been a onetime thing but after looking at other reviews I'm concerned it's not. Since I'm not often in the area I can't really try to check it out again and with so many other similar options in the area I likely will not.

This is a very good store in town to pick up a dish. I have forgotten my money before and the owner let me have the food I ordered anyway. I went home, ate, and went right back to pay for it of course. I usually order a gyro plate and I find it tasty. I've had the hummus before and found it was decent. The only negative I can say is orders tend to be more accurate when you go inside instead of the window. Nothing really to complain about though. Good place!
