Taqueria Del Sol

This was a great place for our party of 11 ladies! The manager was so kind to save our table in the corner so we could order our food. The food was fantastic and I accidentally was given 2 chicken tacos instead of 1 chicken, 1 pork. The manager then came and gave me a cash refund for one of them and made it right. What customer service!!! Thank you so much

Absolutely fabulous food. We moved to Nashville from Athens, GA which is where Taqueria del Sol originated. We always loved Taqueria del Sol in Athens because the quality of the food is top notch plus it is super fast! The food almost comes out faster than you can find your table. The margaritas are super fresh and refreshing. The perfect cocktail to have over lunch. My favorite dish is the fish tacos and I tell them to add slaw on it or on the side. The chips are always fresh and the queso is perfection. So definitely get the chips and queso as well. I’m so glad that I have a Taqueria del Sol in Nashville to go to and you will be too. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

The place was on my list for a long time . The food and drinks were real good but it seemed a little too pricey for my liking . It isn’t a fancy restaurant to be charging 13 dollars for a glass of margarita. They have limited food menu but I believe all of the items are good. Also disappointed in not getting complimentary chips and salsa which is a staple at an authentic Mexican restaurant . Its a order your food and pick up a seat kind of a place. The chef’s specials brassa chicken is amazing and the enchiladas are made well. I also got the tilapia and rice dish which was decent as well.

I had the blue plate special, queso, and fried chicken taco-all of which were delicious. I want to tell you about the Blue Plate (ground beef burrito + rice). The sauce was light and sweet, reminding me more of an Italian joint. The ground beef tasted more like a crumbled Italian meatball. I am 100% here for it all! If I weren't just passing through, I'd make this place a regular on my list.

Such delicious food. The menu is really interesting, a fusion of Mexican and Southern American. The brisket taco is our undisputed favorite here. (The chef has written a book called "Turnip Greens & Tortillas" which I must have.) Not only is the food a welcome attraction, but so is the truly helpful service. Every employee here is a pleasure to deal with. They're moving quickly and always bustling, but whenever you catch their eye and request something, it is promptly provided with a smile. This is the mark of a properly managed restaurant that treats its employees well! There's usually a long line to order but it generally moves quickly.
