Prince's Hot Chicken Shack

We recently spent a weekend in Nashville and wanted to try some real Nashville hot chicken. We asked some locals about some good spots, and Prince’s was the number one recommendation. I 100% see why after trying their chicken!! It was absolutely delicious!!! We were super blown away but the flavor and how juicy the chicken was. I had tenders and my boyfriend got the dark meat. The tenders were super duper crispy on the outside and the most juicy on the inside!! I got medium, but I probably could’ve gone hotter. However, I am well accustomed to spice so if spice isn’t your thing, you may wanna stick to mild. This place was definitely top 3 of fried chicken places I have ever been to!! 10/10 recommend for your Nashville hot chicken needs!!

Best Nashville hot chicken periodt. Went to Hattie's, Bolton's and this place blew them outta the water. The spice compound is perfect , mild is not that spicy. They have fans to cool you down if you sweat alot. Had the fried chicken sandwich, tasted my buddies quarter piece and X-hot tenders. Glad we can benefit from Mrs Prince deceptive plan, our tongues get all the tasty pleasure

Best chicken sandwich I've had in a long time. A thick piece of chicken, it was moist and so crispy. Stayed crispy until the last bite! I got regular not spicy chicken. My friends got hot and extra hot. Through the tears and sweat they say it was delicious and worth it. All in all a very entertaining spot.

This was my first visit to Princes Hot Chicken in over 15 years and it’s actually better than I remembered. I would traditionally go for bone in chicken but the price kept me from taking the plunge. If you visit during the week (Mon-Thursday) The Andre chicken sandwich is just $8.49. This is a larger than normal sandwich, much bigger than a standard chicken sandwich from Chik-fil-a. For $8.50 it’s a heck of a deal, even when you add sides. The seasoned fries are good, and also a large portion. I liked the get it girl greens but wouldn’t order them again for $3.00. They were densely packed in the small container, but I would rather try a different side. In reality, two sides and a sandwich is overkill, even though it was my first meal of the day at 4pm. It’s a nice restaurant and simple in design. Service at the counter was fast, and they collect your phone number so you will get a text when it’s ready. They have a few different beers on tap, so if you’re in the mood for a drink they have it available. In a heads up competition with Hattie B’s I give the edge to HB. the 1/4 chicken plate at HB comes with 2 sides and still manages to be cheaper than the 1/4 chicken at Princes without any sides even though their location is downtown on Broadway.

11/10, this place has some incredible hot chicken!! Easily in my top 3 favorite restaurants I’ve ever been to. I tried the XX Hot, Hot, and Mild, all of which were incredible but the best was the XX. The fries and baked beans were also good. Overall this place was insane and I really can’t recommend it enough!

It's always a great stop when around Nashville. Super moist chicken. I do wish they'd make up some homemade ranch...then I'd up my heat level. But overall very good. I've not tried Hattie Bs to compare yet. Pecan pie was okay, but I've had better...but you're really here for the chicken..which is really good.

Visited this place on a weekday. Wait time was like 5-10 mins only. We got the chicken breast, because they did not have legs. Got one order x-hot and one of xx-hot. Honestly, I thought I could handle xx-hot since I’m used to eating hot and spicy food. But this was something else. Had tears in my eyes after a bite of xx-hot.
