House: A Social Eatery

House was such a treat! I got the Dog House with the House Dog and “2nd Place Chili” Dog. Both were terrific. Would’ve never thought to put Mac ‘N Cheese on a hot dog, but *Chef kisses fingers*. The chips that came on the side were really just a vehicle for the the low-key main event: The Salsa. I learned from the bartender that it’s made in-house and it is top notch. Smoky and has just the right amount of kick for this native Texan. My only complaint is there wasn’t enough of the stuff! I also ordered a round of drinks. I opted for the Illinois Ave., with the lavender bitters and maple syrup. Solid drink. The drink was really subtle with the extra flavors, letting the Bourbon shine. Finally, but certainly not least, the atmosphere and service were very relaxed, but good. I went during the lunch hour, so it wasn’t crowded in the least. The bartender was very knowledgeable when it came to any questions I had. Definitely would recommend visiting for anyone curious.

Such a cool vibe and concept for a restaurant! Beautiful old nashville home renovated. Great food (AMAZING burger that they haven't even released yet, but one of the owners let me taste test it 😂) awesome service, the owners are two great dudes, servers are excellent and knowledgeable about the menu, drinks, and the neighborhood. Every day is something different, bingo night, industry night, group runs, you name it. It's a must stop in if you're in the area!

Ended up here because there was line at Taproom and I'm so happy we did! Had our puppy with us and they were dog friendly... yay!! Ordered a couple dogs but the House dog with jalapeno jam was killer!! Husband ordered a burger and it was cooked to a perfect medium:) and we can't forget our server Austin! Since we had the pup we had to sit out back...he not only turned the lights on for us but never forgot about us even though we were the only ones out there. And we never mentioned this, but did noticed they even turned the music on outside for us:) so excited to come back for darts, ping pong and more time with Austin!

We stopped in for brunch, just a head of the Sunday crowd. Service was pretty slow, even with it not being too busy at the time. I'd say it's not a place for a quick bite, but still worth stopping in if you have time. I got the bloody mary bar, which for two dollars more than a regular bloody mary lets you choose your mixer, a couple pickle/olive options, and if you want a slice of salami or a cheese cube. It took about 15 mins for me to get my glass of ice and vodka to check out the options. A friend ordered the regular bloody mary and it tasted light on liqour, but the serving I got in the bar option was decent. The food was very tasty though. The chicken stack was delicious and massive and their fried green tomatoes were good. We'd definitely make it back around for a meal, though we'll skip the bloody mary bar next time.

I lived next to this place for a year. It’s always been a bar but never one quite as detached from the community as this one. We have a 6 year old and the neighbors did as well. Their child suffered from cerebral palsy and had to wear a helmet due to hearing sensitivity. The owners and the bartender didn’t seem to care much. I realize you can’t ask people to be quiet.... that wasn’t the issue. The issue was 4-6 cars blocking two driveways and 4 parking places. No way for either family to get to their homes and drunk belligerent people leaving at all hours of the night. I had people peeing in my yard and even sitting on my porch swing outside my sons room!!!! They were totally irritated that we cared about our house being bombarded. Rather than handling it like the business before them, they brought over a few pieces of printed computer paper that were obviously destroyed after one rain. I even had the bartender ring my door bell at 2am..... leave..... then try to re-color the story on a community forum where i simply asked the neighborhood board if i was liable for the drunk people leaving from my house at 4am. Bad people make bad food and a bad atmosphere. Be weary !!!! This guy said “he wasn’t creeping around or anything” and has a public video on his Instagram of him zooming in and filming a group of unsuspecting woman across the street from this establishment!!!! Not something I’d want in my neighborhood 😕 huge dissapointment.
