Wow! It’s definitely true that us Dominicans are everywhere. This little Spot was not only quaint but it had very specific Dominican details. From their art that they displayed, to the food that was delicious. My husband and I are from New York City and we’re always traveling the United States just to see, if there is real Dominican food anywhere else other than Washington Heights, New York. I was especially pleased with how clean this place is, and how the hospitality radiates throughout the restaurant. If you are in need of real Dominican, authentic food served with love and a beautifully decorated environment. This is your place!

Having spotted Mofongo Cafe on the map, my curiosity finally led me to visit today. Originally aiming for a familiar spot, we encountered heavy traffic and decided to take a chance on this place - a decision that brought us delightful surprises. Undoubtedly, Mofongo Cafe boasts the best beans I've tasted in Nashville; their flavor was truly exceptional. Surprisingly, their short ribs surpassed the fame of many renowned BBQ joints in the city. Opting for the plate option, I eagerly received my order at the front counter - a combination of rice and succulent pork ribs. My partner, however, chose the shrimp mofongo with red sauce and a chorizo empanada, which led to a slightly awkward situation where I received my food 15 minutes earlier than her. The empanada had a crispy exterior but the chorizo inside leaned toward the saltier side. The mofongo, on the other hand, was a standout, surpassing my previous experiences and filling me up satisfyingly. Despite the minor hiccups in timing and temperature, the overall experience was impressive. I'm inclined to return for another visit, given the remarkable flavors and dishes at Mofongo Cafe.

Latin Caribbean food is hard to come by in Nashville 😭 Thankfully this place exists 🙏🏾 The food is great and the staff is super friendly. It’s a little pricier than I’m used to paying for Caribbean food; I’m from the east coast where a lot of this stuff is readily available. Most of the ingredients are hard to come by in Tennessee, so it makes sense. The food is worth whatever they charge. I will definitely be back for some more.

My fiancé and I just stopped in for supper as we passed through Nashville. Oh my goodness, words cannot describe how amazing this little gem is! I had the ox tail, chicken rice, black beans and slaw and let me say, best ox tail ever had! We had an order of cheese croquettes and they were divine! This will now be our go to every time we’re in Nashville. The staff are too notch so incredibly friendly and helpful. Restaurant is very clean 10/10 in every way!

Dang! You need to go here! Had the seasoned beef, empanadas, lentils, brown rice, this cheese casserole thing they only serve on Sundays that is one of the greatest things I have ever tasted, an awesome salad and a blackberry juice. Yes, I ate way too much. Yes, every bite was delicious. This place is awesome! The guys running it were very cool and helped pick great food. Man. Just go here. Go here! FYI. I SPENT $25 BUT GOT A TON OF FOOD. If you go lighter on your meal, you can eat here for under $20 easy...and still get plenty of awesome food.

Mofongo was absolutely DELICIOUS. Haven’t had such good tostones or empanadas de guava y queso since we lived in Miami! Highly recommend the garlic shrimp, maduros, and empanadas! The food is really the Caribbean flavor. Nice place. You have the option to eat in side, out side in a beautiful terrace with a beautiful tree or in a cover out side terrace. The staff super friendly and explain everything and give you the option. The ambient with the decorations is very nice. And of course the food HOT, FLAVOR, PORTIONS SOOOOO GOOD, TIMING FOR SERVICE EXCELLENT 👌👍🏽
