Family, friendly and respectfully run business! My family and I were delighted to share the evening here. Delicious food with the entertainment of a traditional hibachi restaurant. Looking forward to going back!

We were so happy to find Goten open again! We went tonight for my husband’s birthday and the meal was amazing as usual.

Sushi rolls were delicious, not as varied as other places but they were good. Highly recommended miso soup

We stayed at Aloft which Goten is inside of and we waited until our last night here to go here, which was good because I fear if we had eaten here the first night we may have not gone to eaten anywhere else in Nashville! This place is AMAZING! I will agree with the other reviewers that it doesn't have the brightest atmosphere but what it lacks there is more than made up for in their food and drinks, we had a few of the specialty cocktails which were all delicious as well as one of the sho-chu which my wife enjoyed very much! We did Hibachi and shared the teriyaki steak with an extra set of sides which I would recommend because the main course is big! They had a larger selection of Japanese beers than I'd seen at some other places as well as some japanese Whiskey if my eyes saw correctly behind the bar. The "host" that you meet at the front counter will seat you, take your orders, and make any drinks you might want so I can see how some reviewers didn't get the fastest service, but he is super nice and accommodating! I also witnessed a diner ask for no veggies in his main dish, and while the hibachi was making our rice ask for his without it and they accommodated that very quickly, my recommendation if you can't eat, or don't like veggies be very specific about what you would like veggies left out of! I would recommend this to anyone thinking of eating somewhere Japanese inspired or looking for a meal that is easily shareable!

Service was great, food was great! Isn't the best steakhouse I've visited, but it's definitely among them.

Best hibachi food in Nashville. Seasoned great, no need for extra sauces, etc. Sushi is good too, but nobody can beat the Japanese food cooked in front of you downtown. Located near west end in aLoft Hotel building.
