Steves Restaurant And Bar

I've been to Steve's twice. The first time my crab cakes were overcooked, but they fixed them quickly. The second time was for brunch on a Saturday - very good! However, I've tried to go back twice since then, during normal, posted business hours and they were closed. We went this last Sunday for brunch after 11:00am (time they open according to their website) and they were closed. I would suggest putting up a sign as to why you're closed if you are not going to honor your business hours. My husband has been reluctant to try it, and he was angry when I talked him into it (twice) and both times they were closed. We probably won't go back, since it's been a waste of a drive several times.

I used to work at this restaurant about a year and a half ago as a waitress, we had wonderful food but not much marketing was done. The restaurant was sold, majority of the staff quit or was fired, they put a culinary student in the kitchen who really wasn't very good at making the food we were accustomed to serving. The new owners came in and changed everything, relied on me to show them how the restaurant usually ran, then did it the way they thought was best. I eventually quit, I wasn't very fond of the new management or the changes or food. I don't think this place is open anymore, or at least it isn't any time I drive by. Loved working there when I came to Nashville though, the staff was like family. I would also like to clarify that we certainly were NOT allowed to drink while working, sometimes you end up with a bad employee. I'm quite sure if someone was thought to be drinking at work, they did not last long at the restaurant.
