Uncle G Chicken Shack

I love everything about this place, I can’t say enough positive things about this establishment. The chicken and fries are great, I always get 100 or 200 degrees. I always get the tea too, it’s excellent. The shrimp is good too! The atmosphere is great, there are tons of selfie walls. And the staff is great, the epitome of southern hospitality.

I love anything hot. So I was excited to try the 400 degree wings. The chicken itself is amazing and fresh. It just had way to much seasoning on it. It does have some heat but nothing to crazy. But I have only been once. So I'm going to go back again and hope not as much seasoning. It also is a bit of a wait for the food.But it's cooked to order which I don't mind for some fresh Nashville hot chicken.

Got the 200° Leg Quarter, crunch was awesome and it was served so hot and fresh the temp made it hard to eat it at first. The heat level was just right for me, but equivalent to "medium" at many other popular spots. The atmosphere was very simplistic- think like high school cafeteria- probably a 2, but it was clean and the artwork that was painted on the walls was interesting which improved it. Service was good, a employee from the back came out to take my order immediately, and a friendly man came out and brought my food to the table and informed me that if I ordered online next time, my food wouldn't take so long to come out- (I did wait about 15 mins for my food, but was told that wait time when I ordered). Overall I'd go back and enjoy again, but consider take out as the dining area leaves a bit to be desired.

OMG this chicken is so so good! Seems like every order is cooked on the spot. The chicken was so hot that we were burning our fingers the entire time. We had plain, 100 and 200 degrees. All of it was delicious! The potato salad was so good, we're still thinking about it. Love these type of places. I can't wait to visit again when I go back to Nashville.
