Papa Poblanos Mexican Cafe

I am visiting Nashville and this place was recommended to me. The service was excellent and the waitress that sat us was incredibly kind. That's the only reason for a 2 star review. The food was dry and lacked flavor, it was all spice. I can handle spicy food, in fact I love it, but it was all you could taste. I ordered mixed fajitas. The steak was so dry that it was like eating strips of jerky. The chicken was impossible to chew. The chicken nachos were just chips on a plate with cheese and chicken and thrown into a microwave to cook. Again, all spice and hard pieces of chicken. To those visiting from out of town, save yourself $30 and go to McDonald's instead.

I had Poblano's Padilla, 2 large chicken breaststroke on a bed of grilled onions and green bell pepper, smothered in creamy mushroom sauce, with rice, refried beans, guacamole and salad on the side, and tortillas. Wife had enchiladas with white cheese sauce, rice and refried beans. We couldn't eat it all so we took enough home for another meal. Good service. Good price.

What a great little hidden gem. They make everything from scratch specially their tortillas and we saw them making it which was even more fun. Super delicious food and a great environment for family meal. Definitely recommend to anyone from Arkansas or passing buy and looking for some great Mexican cuisine

Employees were very friendly and super nice, chips and salsa was great, food was good.....it was just hard to get their attention after they got our order. We had to get up and get our own napkins after we asked and waited for some to be brought. The waitress did come and get our glass to refill but never brought it back.
