Desi Curry

We chose desi curry for a family dinner amongst other malwani options in Kharghar based on Zomato ratings, although compared to the other options, this seemed a far smaller place and less crowded given 9pm Saturday night scenes. But when the food started coming in and eventually the tables started filling up, we were sure of our choice. We started with the refreshing Sol kadhi and masala chaas drinks. Must say, the masala chaas is easily one of the best I have had anywhere..perfect mixture of the right amnt if masalas, dhanyas and short mirchis to give it that spicy masala taste. The Sol kadi was also very refreshing to taste. It went well with the kothimbir wadi v had as starters. The wadis were crisp n soft. Just perfectly made. Then came the tandoori prawns...which were just so deliciously smothered with amazing malwani masala and tandoored to perfection. Qnty was sorted for three people. The veg folks had the malwani veg thaali...which had its assorted veg gravies, daal and tandoori bhakri. The daal fry was so good, we ordered a plate of it extra. For the sea food main course, unfortunately, they werent stocked with the pomfret which we originally wanted, so we ordered the special surmai desi curry with steam rice. Presentation was nice, the curry was spiced very aptly to go with the rice. Spcl mention of their accompanying salad, that was also repeat ordered by us, loved the pickeled onions n cabbages. To summarize, a very satisfying seafood family dinner (bill wasn't exorbitant either) .. Completely in sync with zomato' ratings..worth a repeat visit surely.
