Granzin Bar-b-q

Terrible. This was one of the worst BBQ experiences we've ever had. How, in an area with such great BBQ, this place is still in business is a mystery. I've had better brisket and turkey at Bill Miller's (I didn't order turkey by the way, I ordered chicken). Also, this was the smallest portion of meat I've ever received - probably 2-3 oz of each meat. We won't be back and neither should you. Your money and calories are better spent elsewhere. (Oh... the service was very poor as well.)

I pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Family of 4 package which included 1 1/2 pounds of meat and three sides for a cost of less than $40.00. I ordered the brisket, that could have easily feed six people. The meat was cooked just right and had a great taste. The sides were really good as well. There are other really good barbecue places in New Braunfels and this one is right up there with them but Grandin definitely beats them on price.

The food is absolutely delicious. The service is not warm and friendly. It's nice that they have a drive-thru and a walk-up window. They can serve a lot of people at one time. If I was rating just the food I would be willing to give it 5 stars. You do get the vibe that the cashier is like: what do you want, here you go, next in line. That's sad. We sat outside, I really enjoyed that. I love the decorations. I was told that it's the same family as the old Bakery down the road. They sell some of the items from the bakery. The apple pie was absolutely delicious. The peach cobbler was really good. We will definitely go back. I hope the customer service gets better!

Called to add something small on my order and the young lady was rude. The first thing she says it's no! without even asking me what I wanted. Then when we hang up I could hear her talk rudely about me before she actually does hang up. Will definitely share this experience when some asks me about this restaurant. My family and friends will go twice a week. Will be going somewhere else now.

We ordered the family pack for six. There was adequate amount of food. We got chopped beef and the sausage, with mac and cheese, potato salad, slaw. The sausage, mac and cheese, and slaw was tasty. The potato salad was ok a little bland. The chopped beef was really salty, we ate two sandwiches and stopped, we could not drink enough water to wash the chopped beef down. I was a little disappointed

We got brisket and sausage by the pound. Sausage is flavorful and lean. Brisket was soooo tender and delicious. Don't forget extra B-B-Q sauce, it's wonderful. They have spicy, too. Their potato salad is the best. We buy it by the pint, both at the restaurant and market. Definitely worth the trip from San Antonio. Never go through New Braunfels without stopping at the restaurant to get brisket and tacos.
