Ramen Nagomi

After seeing all the fabulous reviews for Ramen Nagomi I knew I needed to try it out. I ordered the pork floss boa, chicken karaage, and tonkotsu ramen and everything was outstanding. The pork in the bao bun had excellent flavor and the bao was pillow soft. The chicken karaage was fried to perfection and was not soggy or steamed even after it being delivered. I am obsessed with the spicy Mayo that came with chicken karaage because it had a depth to it and richer flavor than other spicy mayos. The star of the show was the ramen. The broth was so rich and flavorful and just made my soup happy. Even with delivery the egg came nicely cooked and not over done. The egg itself had so much flavor with a little sweetness that helped cut the richness of the broth. A truly outstanding meal and one I will definitely order again.

I WILL CHANGE THIS TO A 5 STAR IF THEY FIX THIS ONGOING ISSUE. To start, I LOVE FOOD. I alway get the vegetarian curry with trumpet mushrooms and takoyaki here. Two of my favorite dishes especially with the chilli paste. Never gets old. Amazing flavors. I since the pandemic, despite seeing the regular crowd, I do not understand their price increase. Everything is more expensive, but there is no dine-in. I feel like they reduced the quantity and the quality as well. I got 2 pieces or tofu and 2 pieces of mushroom the other day. My bowl looked empty. Just soup and noodles. If someone pays for such an amount for ramen, I think they want a good overall experience. Otherwise it’s nit very difficult to make decent ramen at home. I remember how the bowl used to be topped with the perfect amount of toppings which added their own rich flavors. Now it’s just a bowl with all this stuff thrown in there. Just very confused what’s going on with them. I love their ramen so I hate to let this place go. Hopefully this is just due to the pandemic. Even so, they need to get their act together. I think most businesses have adjusted to COVID by now. If all of this is longterm, I would definitely take my business elsewhere.

COVID procedures - very well managed take out process. All orders are handled online which means payment is also handled remotely. There's a tablet kiosk to order on site if you need it. Packaging - very well packaged and organized. soup broth was separated in another container which helps prevent soggy noodles. Each container has stickers so there's no confusion or mismatching. The containers are also high quality and can handle high heat so you don't have to worry about melting plastic. Spicy miso ramen - for me the spicy oil was overpowering and too spicy. The broth has depth and is well season but just slightly too spicy. Burnt garlic ramen - the garlic and pork broth are really well blended. This is a heavier broth with a lot of depth. The pork - thick cut, tender and well seasoned The egg - about 30 seconds overcooked so the yolk was more on the solid side rather than liquid side. It is very well seasoned and has a sweetness to it. Extra Noodles - the portion for an extra side of noodles is quite generous.
