You can't wrong with Sagar at Def Col... Undoubtedly the best place to enjoy South Indian dishes... The variety is good, excellent and prompt service, quality and quantity is good. Tried a new Chettinad dosa, comes with two dosas with different chutney/paste on them, one mild and other nice and spicy. Loved them, do try in next visit

It is one of my favourite places to eat in new delhi. I am biased towards south indian food in general because it's the only cuisine that's kind to my stomach, but the special thali and coconut dosa are some of the best food i have tasted in my life. And the atmosphere, on top of that, is so calm and chill.

This was the first branch of Sagar Ratna to be opened in New Delhi. It was spread on two floors, sadly the second floor is closed for the last 6 yrs. However, they have taken the shop next door to make up the seating. Service is very very quick. We got our order within 10 mins. Also, the attendants are very observant....were quick to offer to refill sambar, chutney, water etc etc. The hand wash area is slightly inside the kitchen area. The atmosphere and ambience could have been better. Price wise very decent. We ordered dahi vada, filter coffee, paneer masala dosa and rava onion masala dosa. Dahi vada and coffees were too good. The dosas were avg.

The staff has become too slow. In this competitive food industry if we dont change with the time then its a loss for the taste and the name. There was a time when there were not much South Indian options but with the times we have many chains from across the country and the taste and the services are comparatively better. I suggest the owners to keep a tab or else slowly they will start losing the trust and customers which have been them for over years.
