This beats all the other Fried Chicken Chains in Connecticut.
Visiting New Haven was hungry for good Fried Chicken
.
Crown Fried Chicken tasted way better then KFC or Popeyes.
The Chicken is very tasty and Juicy.
Not much seating great for takeout.

I live just down the street and have been to Crown a handful of times. In my experience, it's been very hit-or-miss. usually miss. One time I went, the chicken was hot, moist, and tasty. The next time it was dry, crusty, and anemic. And, if you're thinking about the fried okra - don't. Don't even consider it. It appears to be cheap frozen okra cooked in a microwave: soggy and bland.
All in all, you're better going elsewhere unless really in a pinch

Awesome chicken!! Great price! Friendly, quick service!! I have not tried the other locations but this location in New Haven,Whalley Ave is worth a try!

Not bad chicken, the potato wasn't much good. Only had breasts and wings when I arrived, but they were fresh, juicy and very crunchy. Good chicken!

Overall experience was pretty bad. It took me more than 10 minutes to get a double cheeseburger, even though I was the only one in the store. The burger tasted slightly better than a school lunch. Also, they only accept cash.

They use to hace good chicken and okra. It was disgust soak in grease and no crunch for either item. I do not recommend this restaurant for my worst enemy you will get sick .

The Derby location is much bigger with sit down .
The location is on Whalley Ave .
If your in New Haven and want good Fried Chicken Crown is the place.
They also accept Credit Cards now not just Cash .
