This is one of my favorite places to eat in Harlem. Heck, in all of New York. The food is crazy good and affordable, the staff is friendly and there’s always nice music on, usually soul or gospel, sometimes live music. The Jamaican chicken wings are some of my favorite, and the sweet yam. But just everything is good. At Jacobs, they know how to put the soul in soulfood!

Omg! Everything was fantastic. The oxtails were seasoned perfectly but could have been more tender. The mac was tasty. For my vegetables I picked the lima beans & cabbage. They were both delicious. I would prefer my cabbage cut smaller tho. Overall I loved the experience and it was affordable. Warning : THERES PEAS IN THE POTATO SALAD.

Home cooked soul food is a dish of food I have not had in a long long time of life time. My mother was a Irish American white woman who cooked both Irish and African soulful food dishes of good 🍲. Meats pork,beef,turkey,chicken and fish. Vegetables,Mac and cheese, potato salad macaroni salad as well as pie's sweet potato pumpkin and cakes. I miss my mother's home cooked meals. We grew up in the projects as people with life. Not rich not poor, but as people with life. I'm still with life at my best with life , and I buried my young brother my mother my older brother my step father and my father. All after I was hit by a car with a sixty percent chance of no life. Nineteen ninety was hard for me at its worst and at its best. Two thousand twenty three I'm still standing with life with a daughter twenty one a wife cousin's aunts uncles friends and strong Blessings of life from the Lord thy Gods gracefulness. Amen 🙏🙏🙏

I honestly love this place. The food is hot and delicious it's not 2 expensive it's clean and kept in good condition including the tables outside. The only thing is sometimes the live music is 2 loud it's great to have bur the space is kinda small for the high volumed live band but other than that... This restaurant is perfect.

This Soul Food spot in Harlem is a total gem! The staff is super welcoming, the prices won't empty your wallet, and the food is simply amazing. Plus, the place is really clean. Service: The staff is super friendly and makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. Pricing: Great prices for awesome food. You're getting a lot of bang for your buck here. Food Quality: The food is just incredible. Flavors are on point, and it tastes like someone's grandma is running the kitchen. Cleanliness: The place is clean as a whistle, so you can focus on enjoying your meal. All in all, if you're in Harlem and craving some top-notch Soul Food, you've got to check this place out. You won't regret it!
