It's a bar in NYC we stopped to celebrate a 21st birthday. Bought our beers at the beer bar paid toasted and left. Did not see to many Irish staff maybe they were cooking.

Great food friendly atmosphere and attentive waitstaff. Had the chicken pot pie and shepherds pie. Both were very tasty. Simple comforting food.

As you can see I’ve been here a lot! Ive been coming here for seven years and have created a tradition at my workplace - this is where all the 20-30-somethings come for happy hour and sometimes work lunches, too. Mixed crowd - office workers (skews older usually), neighborhoods locals, sports fans, couples on dates, tourists. Good for groups. The nachos are legendary, but all the food is surprisingly excellent, and the menu is varied so all tastes and dietary requirements can find plenty to choose from. They have some outside seating but your view is basically of bus and 59th Street Bridge traffic - better to sit at one of the high tables right inside the large french doors which they keep open on nice days. Sometimes there’s live music, too.

Absolutely great Irish pub with wide variety menu and great selection of beers. Food was well prepared and and presented. Wait staff very attentive and responsive. Although it looks like a hole-in-the-wall once you get inside it is very cozy and well decorated. Had a good time and very inexpensive.

My first visit here was nothing short of great. My friends have been talking about how good Pig N Whistle is as a bar so I finally got a chance to check it out. It wasn't too crowded, but far from empty. The staff was really friendly, though most bartenders are in my experience =P
The drink selections, while usual prices for the city, were great. A lot of beer choices, but the Bourbons and other whiskeys were the star in my book - many to choose from and all of them are top shelf; no complaints here!
