Beyond Sushi

Nice clean & airy space with good food and service. We visited based on a recommendation by a vegetarian coworker, and it was great. We had the spicy jackfruit crab roll and rainbow roll. The jackfruit roll I really couldn't tell was vegan at all and it was really tasty. The rainbow roll was good but the non-fish flavor was more detectable but still impressive.

My husband and I are vegan and we loved the food here! The food was fresh, beautifully presented, delicious, and a great value for the price. We got the mushroom bao buns (so so good!), the mushroom roll, the torched salmon roll, and the charred avocado roll. The charred avocado roll was absolutely fantastic with the jackfruit “crab” inside. We wish we lived closer to come all the time! The restaurant was also super clean and nice. Definitely don’t hesitate to come :)

Beyond Sushi is a delicious find for vegetarians who still would love to try sushi and rolls. They use vegetarian substitutes for seafood and chicken. Pros: - Extensive menu, you will have plenty of mouth watering options to choose from. - Spicy Mang Roll and Mushroom Bao are must try. - Desert menu is small yet delicious. - They serve alcohol to complete the dining experience. - Super quick service, it was difficult for us to keep up with the dishes. Could be Better: - Table is bit too small to accomodate the size of serving plates, either one needs adjustment. - The ambience is bit too contemporary. There is a big scope to add some asian elements.

All vegan sushi/ East Asian cuisine that was incredibly delicious! I would recommend the chili noodles and cauliflower wings to share along with the dumplings. I found that the “tuna” rolls were not to my taste but were enjoyed by other people at the table. All the flavors were strong and spicy, plating was dynamic and modern.

Popped in for a quick lunch before catching the train home at Penn Station. The Nutty Buddy and mango roll were both super tasty and packed tons of taste into two very light and totally vegan dishes, but the Ube cheesecake was absolutely the star of the show. I recently became lactose intolerant and thought I had said goodbye forever to rich, decadent, near-fudgy cheesecakes. Not so! This lavender slice of heaven is both a technically flawless vegan cheesecake and a wonderful vehicle for that subtle ube flavor, accented by just the right amount of crust and chocolate drizzle. Astonishingly, breathtakingly good. Shoutout also to both the lunch specials, which are an amazing deal for top tier food, and the service, which treated me like royalty despite being a sweaty gormless tourist in a weather-inappopriate tank top. This place was the culinary highlight of my trip to the big apple

Graet place! the restaurant itself is pleasant. the food was very delicious, 100% vegan!! and there was a great selection. we had a very good Ramen, Miso, and "crab" roll. we loved it all. also, we came with kids, and they were happy to customize a simple roll for them. we will definitely come back!

Nice and cozy place few minutes from Times Square. Chilli mushroom soup did not disappoint, all was fresh and good. Spicy mang and spicy "tuna" roll was tasty and one to two portions are just enough to fill the stomach of grown man. Server Juliana was nice and took good care of us. Reasonable prices, one portion is around 10 $ (I had 3, just to taste more). Iam not even vegan and could enjoy the food and difference is not big.

Instead of merely replicating traditional Japanese dishes, Beyond Sushi introduced imaginative vegan alternatives that celebrated the essence of each ingredient. The cauliflower wings, a standout, weren't merely a substitute; they were a wholesome celebration of cauliflower, enhanced with BBQ sauce. Their sushi pieces were intentionally modern and innovative, steering clear of simply imitating seafood staples. Beyond Sushi champions the idea that vegan dishes can be bold, flavorful, and unique. They truly deserve this 5-star rating for succeeding in this mission. This wasn't just a meal—it was an experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this fusion vegan haven and are eager for our next visit.

I have walked pass this place so many times and now I have finally gone in and tried their food. The Coconut Curry was delicious, I loved every bite, I would definitely recommend. I am a Spring Roll snob and I was disappointed in their version of them mostly because the price didn’t fit the amount. However it is a beautiful new restaurant where you go to spend a little coin but the rolls weren’t worth the price honestly. Overall the place was beautiful and the food was great. Don’t worry I will be going back…on a payday. 😅
