Gallow Green

An enriching experience in ways I did not expect. Came here with my long time partner who has a knack for exploration. The menu and drinks are festive and the environment is welcoming. After closing out our tab we walked around a bit, people watched, and eventually found a bench in the corner by the edge where nobody else dared come and enjoyed a laugh or two. While the drinks were not especially to our taste as we ordered randomly the chocolate mouse made up for it and the overall escapade was quite superb. Bring a sweater because it can get a bit chilly!

A beautiful design, ambiance and setting to grab a rooftop drink, especially after enjoying Sleep No More. We happened to go before the evening rush on Sunday and were able to get in without a reservation. The drinks were absolutely delicious. I got the West Side Beekeeper - a mix of mezcal, watermelon, hot honey, lime and a decorative chile. The service was wonderful and efficient. Just a phenomenal spot for drinks!

Unique, enjoyable open-air rooftop dining atop the McKittrick Hotel in Chelsea. Probably 20 tables give or take, so a pretty intimate setting. Make reservations! Lots of plants and trees (yep), and a train-track walkway. Diego took good care of the six of us. The staff was super, and how many restaurants have an elevator operator? I ate the best cheeseburger I've had in a long time. It was a blend of brisket and hangar steak with bacon marmalade, cooked medium as ordered. My wife enjoyed - and shared - her spicy Pork Belly Bahn Mi sandwich with very little belly (fat), topped with spicy marinated veggies. Our daughter had a drink spiced with hot honey called the West Side Beekeeper; a drink with a really spicey bite. The crab and artichoke dip had real lump crab meat and wasn't overly seasoned. One of us finished with a frozen chocolate martini (I think it was). I enjoyed the Catskills farmhouse ale (saison) draft. We want to see the six-floor, three-hour Sleep No More theatrical performance in The McKittrick next trip. No time for it this go-round, but after hearing and reading about it, it's on the list. Remember to dress for the weather because you'll be out in it (under a roof, of course). I understand they have walls and heat in the winter, but our summer 2023 visit was nice and warm. Go for a dining experience - and maybe a show - unlike most you'll experience! Our party highly recommends the Gallow Green in the McKittrick Hotel - but don't try to reserve a room!

Been here twice cause I love the vibe! I personally preferred when I went last Autumn when it’s a little bit colder! I had the brunch buffet which is $72 per person! Location: It is located in Chelsea near Highline. It’s outdoor rooftop seating which I love!! I prefer when I went last Autumn because it’s much colder, this summer is too hot! Lol there is a lot of plants that are instagram worthy! Service: they are super nice and attentive! They will assist you on how the buffet works. Food: Everything was delicious! It’s brunch buffet so there are assortments of breads, bagel, yogurt, spreads, salads, sweets. My personal favorite is their Carving station which includes the PORCHETTA: i love it, its a roast pork and the skin is so crispy! The meat is tender and flavorful. Another favorite is WHOLE SALMON: the salmon is so good and fresh! Flavored it well with seasoning! Mimosas were amazing too! Price rating: 8/10, it was not bad for food that you will get. $72 per person Definitely will come back here once it gets colder!! My fave is the carving station!
