Great vibes, lively place. The tables are small though and is a tight space. Was difficult to manage all the food and drinks for 4 people in the spot. The food was good. Got the platter, was good for 4. Got shrimp and chicken tacos. Both were great. The fries and guac was good too. Also got the chicken enchiladas, great taste and quantity again for the price. It is a comparatively cheap place with good food. The only complaint is the plates and bowls are recyclable but they still serve plastic spoons and forks. Not sure why the waste.

Tortaria is an amazing place. The food is delicious. The bartender, Lina, is out of this world. By far the best service I have ever had. I go at least 2-3 times a week. Lina give this place character. Very welcoming, attentative and a great personality. Lina vibes is contagious. I can have a bad morning, after having lunch, Lina makes my day Start over with positive vibe and happy. Highly recommend. Please check out the bar with Lina. You will not regret it. FYI- makes amazing margaritas!!!!!!

They made my day! I wanted to go to some other place, but unfortunately, that was close, and I decided to give this place a try. To my surprise, I got the best tacos. Don't hesitate to ask for extra sauces, and if you are a spice lover like me, ask for the spicy sauce too. The service was brilliant, and they will tell you about the offers if there were any, and it is always beneficial to go for them. This place definitely made me love tacos, and I am glad I visited this place ❤️

I have ordered a milanesa torta with Jamaica drink and rice and beans lunch order. The Torta sandwich was asolutelly delicious and fresh. The meat was tender and the avocado was fresh. The staff was friendly. I recommend anyone to stop by here as is very closed to train R station Union Square. But also a good place to hang out with the family and friends! 💖💖💖👍 We will come Back again!

I had a quick bite at Tortaria recently with my sister and only had a tamale because I wasn’t very hungry. I need to go again ASAP though and I’ll bring my inner ( and outer 🤭 ) fat girl. Such a great place, staff was friendly and we got our food quickly. The watermelon drink was juicy and delicious. The 🫔 was perfect. I loved the decor too, just an overall really good dining experience. Can’t wait to go there again. 😍🥰😊

Tortaria is a nice Mexican establishment in University Place. We stopped by for brunch on a Saturday and had a great time. The menu has a lot of interesting options, and we tried the eggplant bowl, the brunch burrito (as a bowl) and the chipotle lime veggie bowl, along with ginger tea and lemonade. Everything was great - the eggplant bowl was novel and tasty, the brunch burrito was delicious, and the chipotle lime veggie bowl was quite good as well. The ginger tea was well brewed (with a sharp sour tang) and the lemonade was refreshing and quite sweet. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to Tortartia. The dishes are tasty and reasonably priced (compared to NYC standards). Worth a visit!
