Outstanding and Authentic Ethiopian cuisine, being an Indian, who had his primary education in Ethopia, six decades ago, it was nostalgic, the menu was in English, Amharic and Surprisingly Hindi too. Very humble decor with a warm and friendly hostess. Pricing is attractive for the quality of food and services. Compliments.

Queen of Sheba is authentic Ethiopian food & it is absolutely delicious!!! Sumptuous is probably a better word! The restaurant itself has a small footprint but the owners have managed to install a nice yet petite 6 or 7 person bar & a small seating area. They've also added enclosed patio dining so if you can't get indoor seating, the alfresco option is just as nice. The atmosphere/decor is Ethiopian, simple yet lovely, so the only "plush" things you'll find here will be your food. Important Tips: 1) Don't call. They don't have time to answer the phone. Show up close to food service times & wait to be seated. 2) Bring a bunch of handwipes; they offer 3 or 4 packets but you're gonna need more...way more. 3) They DO serve Vegetarian dishes...yes, you're STILL gonna need a bunch handwipes. Totally worth the visit & the amount of handwipes. 👏🏾💯💚

One of my favorite nyc restaurants. I’ve been here multiple times and the food is always phenomenal and the service is always fantastic. Took my boyfriend here for his birthday tonight and was signing the bill and mentioned to didn’t want him to pay because it was his bday. One of the women overheard me and asked us to hang on a second and came out with cake and candle. Such a sweet gesture and truly appreciated. 10/10 recommend

Ordered via iPad the vegetarian Sheba sampler dish and lentil sambousa. The sampler is a nice option to try a variety of dishes, however, the gomen wot didn’t have enough flavour IMO. The misir wot was delicious and my favourite. We were seated quickly and our order came out in a reasonable time too. The restaurant is definitely a popular place.

Excellent Ethiopian food. Spice level was good. I really enjoyed the food and the staff was friendly and just the right amount of attentive. Don’t expect super fancy, but it was about the same atmosphere as the other 5 Ethiopian restaurants that I have visited (Montreal to Philly), maybe even a bit nicer.
