Nice place, delicious food and good, attentive service.
Will definitely recommend the Boeuf Bourgignon, it is amazing along with the steak tartar.
Portions are not overly generous but you will not leave hungry either, so I guess they are just right.
Do expect to drop 200 something dollars for 2 people.

Amazing food, great little quaint spot in the upper east side.
Everything about the steak frites and burger was incredible. And last but not least, the chocolate soufflé was one of the best i’ve ever had in a very long time.

Had lunch at Brasserie Cognac, and the experience was very nice. This is a good Upper East Side restaurant that was absolutely packed when we visited for a weekday lunch. The food was solid, and the service was outstanding during our visit. This is a very nice neighborhood restaurant / French Bistro.

Enjoyed our night at Brasserie Cognac this evening. The food was good. I had the duck. It was good but not great. We also had the Salmon and that was out of this world. The cheese puffs were really good as well. The onion soups were good and just the right size. So often the soups are too large but this was the right size. I’ll be back.

Amazing evening, love the food...I also am a huge fan of the floating island dessert. The atmosphere was relaxing and romantic, sat outside on this unusual warm fall evening. Cognac is definitely my number one restaurant.

Just hosted a baby shower at Brasserie Cognac 70th for 15 guests. We were upstairs in a semi private room. Fantastic venue and service. They created the perfect day for us. Highly recommend.

Food is decent but not spectacular. Service same. I would give both a 3.5 if that was an option. Bread was stale. Appetizer of goat cheese puff pastry had too much puff, not enough goat. Salmon over cooked. Apple tart acceptable but on the bland side. Service also spotty, forgot the lemon for the fish. We had good company, which made the evening memorable, but the restaurant did not add.

Went there on a Saturday night for a table for 3, had made reservations only an hour prior.
Greeted, seated promptly and were happily relocated to the table we asked for.
The bread, drinks, food and the service was what you'd expect at a Brasserie.
Would definitely go back and the prices are very reasonable.

A rather typical French UES restaurant with relatively senior crowd. Inside is cuter than outside, both are pretty spacious, there are also tables on the upper floor.
A good find - brut champagne for $17 (decent quality as opposed to many overpriced bubbles), a great value for UES. The octopus salad was great with plenty of charred octopus, tuna tartar was OK. The apple tart tatin tasted better than it looked. Overall a solid choice for a casual and quiet dinner / lunch in the area.
