Bragman's Delicatessen & Restaurant

Being from Brooklyn, I'm spoiled food wise. After seeing really good reviews for Bragman's Delicatessen, I gave it a try. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! I was given samples of the beef brisket and the pastrami while I waited on line. The samples were everything I hoped. I got the Charlie & the Jonathon. I then hurried home where my wife and older son and I ate these sandwiches with amazement. My son who is hard to impress loved the Jonathon while my wife leaned towards the Charlie. Me, imma foodie, they were both spectacular. Just be warned, Bragman's goes from 0 to 60 in minutes. I walked in and it was just me, 2 minutes later a dozen people were in there. Well worth the price.

Me and my family have been going here for years. The food is still delicious and they have good customer service, they feed the poor!! , they are black Muslim owned, the food is fresh, the food is fulfilling, the money is worth it!!!!! This is a deli I dont want to leave. I've been in Newark all my life and things are changing. Old restaurants are leaving and being replaced by expensive small portion cat food. This is the best sandwich deli place in NJ/ best I've ever had HANDS DOWN!!! NO DEBATES!!! SHUT UP , AND GO DOWN TO BRAGMAN'S AND GRAB A CHARLIES SPECIAL!!!

Bragmans has been here since before the riots, when the area was Jewish, a very long time ago. Their sandwiches are still good as opposed to great because they are expensive. You can't eat in because they keep the door open in winter 🤔 They still encourage cash by charging your debit/credit card 55% . Not the same but it's all we have for now

I recently visited Bragman's and was lucky enough to meet the new owner Kai. He's 100% committed to maintaining and improving the legacy of this awesome deli. A proper old school Jewish deli in the heart of Newark with the food to back it up. Try the pastrami and the corned beef and pair it with some of the old school deli sodas they have on offer. Will definitely come back

I went with my friend to this Deli. He has been going to this Deli since the 1960's. As for me, I never knew it existed until now. He raved about this place. The meet was fresh and seasoned. He spoke about their deli platter which is the best in town. The person that cuts the meet has been working there since the 60's and slices so thin that it's to perfection. it's really good to know that Newark still has a business that's thriving and still providing excellent service.

Old style deli that has persevered and the food is better than ever. the sandwiches are all name just for fun. the Charlie w/cheese (Corned Beef & Pastrami Combo) with a little Russian dressing is my go to sandwich and it is so satisfying with loads of meat on board. Great choice for lunch in Newark.
