Giovanni's Pizza & Grill

Hands-down one of the best pizzerias I’ve ever ordered from. Let me tell you, their wings, phenomenal. Their pizzas? Mouthwatering. Now let’s not forget their pastas.. many people think oh you’re really going to order pasta from a pizzeria? Only from this pizzeria because I always order there Penne Ala vodka with chicken. The chicken is grilled to perfection, The sauce is amazing as well as the pasta itself I give it a 10 out of 10!! The prices are really good and this place is really one of the best pizzerias I’ve ordered from in Newark.

I placed an order through DoorDash from this restaurant and my order was confirmed. Once the DoorDash driver arrives to the restaurant to pick up order, I unexpectedly receive an notification that my order has been cancelled. Why wait til the driver arrives to then cancel my order?? The order was placed way before the alleged closing time. This is highly unacceptable and unprofessional. I waited for over an hour to receive a notification of my order that my order was cancelled. I also checked with DoorDash and the agent stated to me that restaurant closed when the driver arrived. Mind you I also checked online and it stated that the restaurant was still open. I will never order from this place ever again. Such a distasteful way to treat customers.

I ordered a pizza at 5:59 for pickup. I got a notification saying my order was complete and went in to be told that they had not even started my order. I waited until 7:20 when my order was complete however they did not give me what I asked for. I ordered a meatball pizza and when I looked at the pizza before I left I noticed they gave me a sausage. I brought my concern to the cashier and he told me that they ran out of meatballs so I decided to use sausage. It’s frustrating because how are you going to change an order without consulting the customer first. Over an hour wasted just to get the wrong order. Very disappointing….

Don't expect to see any Italians when you go into these places! If The person making your food isn't Mexican they'll probably be someone from the Middle East. Either way the food is delicious to your average American. A real Italian probably wouldn't agree! The guys here are pretty friendly even with serious faces 😉 I typically order the Fettuccine Alfredo sometimes with chicken sometimes with spinach & mushrooms which is delicious! You get enough for 2 people, even to this day.
