Morelia Mexican Restaurant

I have been to Morelia’s twice now and both times were amazing! Great atmosphere and generous portion sizes. It’s very delicious authentic Mexican food! I am vegetarian and really enjoyed that they had many different vegetarian options. Also, the churros are amazing! Will definitely be coming here again!

Stopped in today with my coworker who mentioned good food and great margaritas. I looked online and it definitely looked authentic, as soon as I sat down the salsa and chips were a huge disappointment... I didn't have high hope for the food based on the salsa, ordered the Saturday special wich was grilled steak and I was very impressed, food was delicious and you can't beat that price, sangria was also great and big drink for the price... fried ice cream was not great, fry batter was too sticky, like it was in oil too long.. overall will definitely stop by again. Didn't ask if they had other salsas, next time I will definitely ask and hopefully they say yes Service was excellent!!

My girlfriend and I visited the restaurant about a week ago. We had read some negative reviews about how they have neglected black customers. We enjoy a good Mexican spot so we decided to go nonetheless to form our own opinion. Unfortunately, our experience aligned with those reviews. Other than our initial greeting at the front counter to be sat, we did not have a waiter visit our table for the first 20 MINUTES. We weren’t handed menus or informed of a QR coded menu. Eventually, someone came over and asked if we had our drinks ordered. We said no and to her chagrin, she brought us our drinks. Another 10+ minutes went by and she then asked if anyone took our food order! At that point we were confused on who our waitress was and why nobody cared to check on us in a reasonable time. Other tables were greeted and served immediately. It’s hard to justify the experience when you see that they aren’t that busy and other tables are receiving smiles, attention regularly, and just simply served as expected. I don’t want to assume they are racist but I would say there is a HEAVY bias/prejudice depending on what you look like when entering. A 1 star is granted solely because the margaritas were fire! Hefty amount of alcohol and great flavor!! To their surprise, we left a nice tip but will never return back. My tip for them should’ve been to treat each customer as you treat the regulars. Avoid assuming we fit in a mold of those who may have not been deserving of your service, but I suppose you have more opportunities to focus on pleasing the white locals as if they don’t discretely look down upon you the same as us. I, plus 4 others ate on Father's Day eve and it was terrific. No complaints, food really great, service very nice and the prices reasonable. Being a native Texan I love Mexican food. 23 years ago I relocated to Delaware from Texas. I had given up the search for authentic Mexican food. I know that I will be a frequent flyer with this restaurant. I'd give 10 stars if I could .

Was really busy so service was slow but good.. The tamale was awful.. The steak and shrimp fajitas were awesome.. The margaritas were very good....I got a single cheese and onion enchilada.. Nope not good.. Cold and the onions weren't cooked.. But loved the atmosphere.. Will def give it another try..
