Lazy Dog

After being seated, no one came to our table for over an hour. This was at 11 am - not even lunch time. We approached the hostess a few times and she literally was wondering why we didn’t just get up and leave. Teenage Servers dressed like they just got out of bed. We all know it’s covid, but some degree of professionalism is expected.

I love this place! Very large space both indoors, outdoors (fire pit, patio roof covered, dogs welcome!), and parking. Delicious and fun food that’s both comforting and an interesting spin on the usual. Nice selection of drinks as well. And, the best kept secret, their frozen take home meals made from scratch. With the package order discount the meals are quite cheap for the quality and it’ll make you feel like you’re dining out with a hot meal you can taste the love in even from home during a busy work day :) online ordering is easy with their beautiful website; it is expectedly popular but in-person wait line has convenient text alerts and all the staff I’ve interacted with have always been sweet. I also appreciate it stays open late so I can always rely on choosing to eat there without giving too much thought to if they’re still open. All in all a definite gem, especially for a young adult in Fremont that feels deprived otherwise of an exciting and more modernly hip experience like you’d find in Oakland or SF.

Just two for dinner. Started with the spicy edamame - nice take on the traditional dish with a decent zing. Also the seasonal butternut squash soup, one of my personal faves - creamy, not too tart, very good. Fish & Chips for me, salmon for dinner guest. Both very good - nice portions, plenty of sides (brown rice and fries), and not rushed. Very helpful staff, especially with honest feedback on some of the choices (not too fond of the boar chili, thanks)

Good size Outdoor Patio with very minimum heat during this cold season, especially during this outdoor dining. pre-pandemic indoor dining is good. Overall, good place to go but not recommend for sports. Not too many TVs and service is not that great. However, bartenders Jesus and JP are the best. Servers are extremely slow and will not attend to your request. Kalvin is one of the best servers at this location. I highly recommend that you always request to have Kalvin as your server. He has excellent customer service skills.
