Spudz-n-stuff

The attached photo was taken after they "fixed" the issue I returned the food for at Newburgh Spuds n Stuff. Both spuds had mushrooms and one also included onions and bell peppers. None of which were cooked. I returned the spuds, requesting that the mushrooms, peppers, and onions be cooked (plus, both spuds were missing toppings). The gentleman behind the counter first told me that he didn't know I wanted them cooked. When I told him that I did not know they put raw mushrooms and peppers on spuds, he told me they weren't raw, but since they were big, I "just couldn't tell that they were cooked." So I requested that they be put back on the grill. He agreed to put them back on the grill, but I sat there as he put both spuds in the microwave for a couple minutes, then hand them back to me. Both spuds had steak as well, so we had tough steak on overheated spuds with missing toppings and warm, still raw, mushrooms and peppers. It was not good. And it cost over $20. The other locations have been just fine. The one in Newburgh was terrible.

The location in newburgh is okay. They are working on hiring more people and I'm sure the service and look of the inside will improve then but when my boyfriend and I visited the large menu was on the floor, all the salt shakers were empty, the tables needed to be wiped down, and the hot sauce bottles were very low. A new person was being trained on the cash register (was a bit slow but that was perfectly fine) and the food came out hot so no complaints on that end.

Again I gave spuds and stuff a chance, I placed a larger order and we told it would be an hour for delivery, (which is extreme anyway). Over an hour and a half later it still was not delivered. Called the store and my order was just leaving. I have been very patient with the east side store but we are talking about potatoes, it is as if they put the delivery orders to the back of the line. Not sure if they will get my return business.

I give four stars because the staff wasn't very talkative. The food was prepared quickly and it tasted wonderful. I had a 10 minute wait after making my order because the manager had to go to the bank to get change. The staff did explain the situation and I knew this before placing my order that it would be for a few minutes. The appearance of the restaurant was clean. I did not use the rest room. I imagine it would be just as clean. It was noon time and there was no wait time to place an order. I do suggest a recommendation of this place. It is off the beaten path of the Lloyd and slightly away from some of the other places. While you are there Ninki and Shangri Las is good places to visit in the same building. Get some sushi at Ninki and see Robby or Elizabeth for a tattoo at Shangri Las. Tell them Tabatha sent you.
