Lovely chai, was looking for a relaxed place to have a tea and dont know Newcastle now- had not been to the market for yrs and was so happy to see such lovely places to eat- cuban, korean, chinese dumpling, greek, spanish and more- this one stood out- good chai, lovely vibe, friendly people, tried their delicious Indian sweets- yum- will be back for savoury- saw lovely plates at neighbouring tables- lots of different choices and vegan.

Hidden gem in Grainger market. Pickle wrap was just <chef’s kiss> a delightful mix of flavours and textures with incredibly fresh ingredients. Really delicious!

Great veggie food with a real buzzy vibe located in the Grainger Street Food Market. The place itself is quite small and there is some seating but we managed to get a seat fairly quickly. It was a warmish day so we went for some of the cold dishes: bhel puri chaat and a side of pakora with various dips. The food was fab and we really enjoyed our visit there. If you have trouble finding it, it's on the corner of Alley 1 - and if you are a lover of Indian vegetarian food, this is a must visit stop.

Small eatery in Grainger Market. Good, friendly service. Tried samosa dal and chai. Almost authentic flavours of Indian food.

Amazing food, I was so happy I found this gem. Staff really friendly too! Curry of the day is great value. I'm gutted I don't live here as I would become addicted!!

So it’s a tiny cafe kind of spot inside Grainger market. They serve vegan and vegetarian food. The menu is pretty decent. The food is just passable or like it’s very normal. It’s Indian food Indian food usually is very complex but you can make it in a simple way as well. It’s that simplified version of Indian dishes. The portion size is just ok. I tried the curry of the day combo. Which keeps changing everyday - today it was baingan ka bartha ( mashed eggplant with spices ) and a portion of daal ( lentils ) and rice come with a portion of naan as well. One good thing about the food is that it’s not loaded with oil as most of the Indian restaurants here in UK do. More like a home cooked meal. It’s crowded during lunch and there is a bit of wait.

Snackwallah is really as it’s name is - the perfect place for a snack in Grainger Market. We went on a Wednesday afternoon, and it was packed - had to wait 5 minutes before we could get a table.
We loved the food here! Indian street food which was quick, delicious and hearty. The masala chai was especially lovely. Portions were not too large, priced appropriately, and really worth it.
In total, our meal ( 2 meal/snacks + masala chai) was about £11. Really worth it!

Great pit-stop in centre of Newcastle. Indian Street food and drinks. We had panoramic and bhel puri with chai. All made fresh and very tastey. Loved my masala chai. Will return.
