A Taste Of Persia

Walked past not even thinking of eating there, but thank god we did, amazing food, atmosphere, service, and was easily one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've had in a long time. The rice, prawns and chicken were all perfect and the saffron ice cream and baklava was incredible. Only had Persian food a couple of times but it was by far the best ive tasted. If I end up living near here I will be coming very frequently.

Just have recently moved to Newcastle from outskirts of London. I have been to the best Persian restaurants in London (Persian palace, Molana, Piano,… the list goes on) but this place has phenomenal food and easily beats them. Generous portions, fresh and homemade! 10/10 experience, very decent price and cannot recommend it enough.

I came to this restaurant based on my father’s recommendation; he told me that he used to eat at this restaurant 20 years ago, and yet this is one of the best Persian restaurants around here. The owner of the restaurant, Davood, is very hospitable and friendly with the customers. Everything in the restaurant is freshly made every day. Absolutely delicious food; highly recommended. They also have upstairs extra tables and spaces for family and friends' occasions.

We recently visited Persia . We were a party of four, including two adults and two children. We ordered the mixed grill for three, which was really good. It came with a variety of meats and vegetables, including chicken kebab, lamb kebab, chicken wings, and lamb chops. The humus and freshly baked bread were delicious as well. We also had Persian cocktails—they were on special that night! Everything was so good except for one thing: the quantity of food we got wasn't enough to fill our bellies. If you're looking for a parking space nearby, be prepared to walk at least 500 yards in any direction—we ended up paying £62.35 total (which includes service charges).
