The Braised Station 24

We like Sambuca and go fairly often,we usually have the 3 course special which is excellent value,unfortunately last night we missed the cut off time and had to go with the full price menu,I have found we normally get a larger portion when paying full price for the single main meal ,however I was disappointed in last night the portion for my pasta was at best medium,my wife and I even swopped when I moan about it to her ,the meal was excellent, a woman did come and ask if everything was alright but my wife had already said don’t say anything,I will be going back but not after 5 ,

Sunday lunch today Confused to say the least, first time I’ve had a meal served with the gravy on since school! and it was swimming. I had pork which was very tasty unfortunately half was actually soggy rind. Veg portioning very strange, we both had a kids size dollop of mash and swede and a minuscule portion of cabbage. I had 6 slices of carrot while my friend had 26? Roast potatoes well cooked but no flavour? Use the meat juices please. Very good portion of well cooked lamb for my friend I have to say. Even more confused when the table next to us had two lunches delivered for kids I’d say 7/8 that had more on? Overall very tasty but lacking consistency and finesse.

1st visit - cheesy garlic bread, potato skins, calzone and steak stroganoff. Couple of beers and the new cocktail! The food was great and the portions were large - no way we could manage a dessert! The service was tip top - welcoming, helpful, pleasant and fun. Then to finish the bill was very reasonable - well recommended.

Had the pleasure of lunch here today, it's great value and the food is pretty darn good I'd go so far as to say today I had one of the nicest pizzas I've ever had stone baked to bloody perfection! Staff nice and helpful as always, I like sambucas it's decent for sure. This is accessible for all the cobalt staff from companies around the way. Go and have a nice lunch with your work m8s and chill. I'll be back... 👍🍕☕🥔🍝
