Such a great place for a drink. I visit every time I visit family in Jesmond. Even under new management it’s still great.

Lovely place to be fair. First time visit. Easy to get to, looks impressive from the outside, and some nice history to read about on the boards hanging on the wall outside (Naval history obviously with the name).
Inside.....
Almost like a Tardis. So much bigger inside than it looks from outside.
Friendly clientele, beer is good and not too expensive.
Some big screens to watch sport on, I actually went in there to watch football (bonus).
Didn't go there to eat, so I couldn't answer those questions, however, I did see food being brought out to customers and it looked very good.
All in all, I will be going back as i thoroughly enjoyed myself.
Top Pub and I really hope the new management do well, they seem to deserve it.

Three of us tried three different steaks during thursday steak night…can honestly say the best tasting and expertly cooked steaks outside of a michellin star kitchen. will be back. …. a lot!

Just had a fantastic Sunday lunch, lovely relaxed atmosphere, great beer, wine and of course superb food. Sunday hospitality at its best. Dog friendly and roaring log fires. Couldn’t ask for more on a freezing cold day!

This pub is such a gem. It’s absolutely the best bar in Jesmond. Amazing pizzas freshly prepared. Great and varied beer selections by the pint. Very friendly and hospitable atmosphere extremely welcoming.

Nice Pub! Clean, great ambiance, good beers on tap. We didn't eat anything but the beer was cold and we truly enjoyed it.
