Cosy old fashioned pub in very pretty village. Really friendly, helpful staff offering samples of beers to try. Good selection of vegetarian dishes and roast meats for Sunday lunch. Also the most dog friendly pub I’ve been to. Not only was Timmy 🐾 severed a bowl of water at (under) the table, but a bowl of roasted meat scraps were offered! Above and beyond! 😊 ( ps dog extras not on the menu 😂).

Booked for an evening meal on Saturday night, never been before but found it instantly likeable. Had a nice buzz about it & instantly felt welcome. Service was brilliant without being over the top, some tempting choices on the menu, I thought the food was fantastic & not over priced. I would have loved to try the crumble, but I was in waffair thin mint territory

Got the turkey sunday roast and it was a beautiful big portion. The roast was one of the better ones i’ve had, on a whole it was an 8.5/10 but the pub itself is a 10/10; it is the perfect pub setting in a quiet quaint village with a great atmosphere and i love that dogs are welcome. The staff were very receptive and welcoming to feedback, the staff themselves were very welcoming and friendly (got a ‘hello’ before i walked through the door), they were very accommodating (watched them happily move a big party to another table on request), and their service was quick. On a whole i gave it a 9/10, will definitely return.
