Recommended by a colleague I wasn't disappointed. Barrio has a constantly changing tapas menu with the dishes written on the blackboard above the kitchen. Booking is essential. I got the following: Lime spanner crab with avocado and tequila tomato on tortilla chip - wow, what a lovely burst of freshness from the tomato, crab, creamy avo, and the crunchy chip. Lovely way to start. Mushroom and Manchego paella rice ball with parsley aioli - nice and crunchy on the outside, soft and gooey on the inside. Love the earthy flavours of the mushroom, the tones of Manchego cheese, the creamy paella, the richness of the aioli and the peppery tones of parsley. Chilli beef and cheese empanada with sour cream - lovely pastry encasing a warming tender beef and cheese mixture. Didn't carry any chilli kick but a dab of sour cream added a nice creaminess. Spanish meatballs with fetta, thyme and parsley - this is a hearty meal. We went here for the first time for our wedding anniversary last November, were so impressed by the food that we were quite excited about going back. Again, delicious food but spoiled for us by two things.Saturday night is banquet night at Barrio 2304 and a great way to try a few of their tapas dishes. We went recently & began with 6 different tapas followed by dessert.- really tasty & enjoyable

Went to Barrio a couple of nights ago. Unbelievable Experience. Everything is made fresh to order! The wine list is amazing and really well priced, plus the bier selection rivals some of the best in Australia. I cannot recommend this place enough. Just get there and experience brilliant food at the right price. Staff know the menu back to front and really make the whole experience a pleasure.

The menu is small but is cooked to perfection. Care is taken into each dish and they make it hard to decide what to choose. The service is always good with staff taking the time to chat and explain the menu and what works well. You can taste the quality of the food in each dish. Some dishes you must taste are the chorizo cooked with tomatoes and coriander, Mushrooms cooked in sherry with goats cheese and the pomegranate lamb.
