Kings Xi Indian Restaurant

I went with family for dinner. Food was delicious but when it comes to customer service, it was worst. On public holiday, you should get more staff on the floor. While having food, I went couple of times to the counter to ask for service. No one even bothered to come to the table and ask. Even after going to the counter those 2 ladies were ignoring completely. I was asking them for spoons and some food did not served to us, they were completely ignoring me. If they were busy, they could have say that can you give us a moment and will right back with you. Moreover, they served curries first and we were waiting for naan literally for 5-7 minutes . There is no point if you don’t serve naan and curries together. And if you are short staffed on public holidays and weekends, you should not take the booking or tell us on the time of booking that we are fully booked.

We ordered Bhindi do pyaza, daal fry and handi paneer in the main course. Everything was fresh and sumptuous. Especially the bhindi, as most of the places around serve frozen bhindi curries but this one tasted fresh. The server was friendly and patient. Atmosphere was good too. I will definitely recommend this place to people trying to find authentic Indian food.

Polite staff :) yes. But , lack system. We were welcomed with a 10 mins wait to get our already booked table. After finally getting our table we waited for our menus to arrive. Neighbouring tables had dirty plates left for 15-20 mins after guests left -not a great sight. A young lady very genuinely picked up our order. Entree was Afghani chicken : fresh , cooked to perfection. Found the paneer dishes bland :( Another 30 mins wait for mains to happen. After checking with the senior staff , mains arrived. Mains was a disappointment. Mango lassi recommended.

Excellent as always. Never let down. The most important factor when you visit any restaurant is the constant same taste any day of the year. I have been and visited many restaurants and only few have kept the same taste, KINGS XI IS one of them in few. Can not fault.
