The Village Newcastle

I’m not a regular reviewer, but I have to say how much I enjoyed breakfast this morning. Swiftly greeted and seated. Table service left us wanting nothing, it was well timed leaving us not feeling rushed or forgotten. I ordered the scrambled eggs special with maple bacon and chilli jam and it blew me. Wow! Yum!! Thank you for a great experience.

Came to Newcastle from Brisbane to visit my sister and she suggested The Village for breakfast. Service was super efficient and lovely, mum loved the coffee and my banana smoothie was delicious. The food was incredible both in quality and quantity. I can see why my sister is a regular here and I look forward to visiting again. Thank you to the team here, you do an amazing job.

on and avocado on sourdough toast (aka the Build Your Own Brekkie on the menu). Everything was perfectly cooked, though surprisingly the spinach was served fresh/raw and unseasoned. The sourdough was toast perfectly and of a lovely chewy texture and spread lightly with butter. My partner had the Greek brekkie (a meat free option) with Halloumi, Olive tapenade, mushrooms, grilled tomato, spinach and sourdough toast. The olive tapenade had a strong flavour but was a great addition to be spread on the toast or added to a mixed forkful of food. I can't say much for the coffee save for the fact it was strong and a little bitter.
