Ordered all sort of different food and none of disappointed me. It's a must try.

We went for the first time on Friday after I googled “Best Chinese restaurant in Newcastle”
Papillon certainly lived up to the recommendations.
The food was delicious- the best either of us had ever tasted. The service was outstanding- friendly, attentive yet unobtrusive. Will the owner even came out and said hello to us!
We’ll be going to Papillon regularly from now on.

Good is sensational, tapas/share plates only, but everything is unique and really good! I had the zucchini spaghetti, I'm no veg, but it ad great and the spanner crab was sensational! Love the place: a wine in an original bank-style building; high ceilings, beautifully designed, large, darkly well-lit with a corner of large comfortable couches, candles, oh and the fabulous wine list.

One of the worst chinese take aways i have ever had. The vegetables and mushrooms in my dish were clearly from a can and not fresh and the rest of the dish had no flavour. The worst spring rolls ive ever had in my life, frozen ones from the supermarket would have been better. Ended up spending over 100 bucks between 3 and no one enjoyed their meal. Would never order from here again!!
