Civic Digest

The concert was very good but theatre was very uncomfortable. It was very crowded and the temperature in the theatre was so hot, I'm sure the air-conditioning wasn't working, very scary during covid. The leg room of the seats is only suited for small people. I will think twice about returning any time so.

Had a great time seeing Urzila Carlson with a friend! Lots of laughs, a great night. Only downside was seating heights - while i am a tall person, i struggled to see over the head in front of me despite them not being tall. Would have loved to grab a drink before the event, but the lines were way too long. would have been great to have an intermission for this event so we could have grabbed some drinks, although the seating doesn't allow for drinks or food. The theatre was beautiful.

Had a wonderful experience at the civic theatre on the 22nd July, 2022. Saw Human Nature and they were amazing. (Hoping they come back in the near future)…. Theatre itself is absolutely wonderful and it's really hard to believe this building is 100 years old. Seating is a tad cramped but nothing that won't ruin your night. The acoustics and lighting are all very good. It did a get quite stuffy towards the end of the show but understandable after 2 hours of everyone breathing. Can't wait to go back and see something else at a future date.
