Rock Salt

We travelled over 10,000 miles from the UK to visit our family, but the decision to have dinner at the Rock Salt Restaurant, Noosa was well worth the journey in its own right!! We have been privileged during our lives, having eaten in the restaurants at The Waldorf New York, the Dorchester, Savoy and Ritz hotels, London, and Raffles Hotel, Singapore. The food and service at the Rock Salt Restaurant, Noosa, Sunshine Coast , Australia was on a par with all those. Thank you for a great meal and evening. I particularly loved the oysters. Our experience at Rock Salt was simply outstanding. No vacant faced young inexperienced wait staff, no over-servicing, no under servicing. Everything was timed with maturity and very good customer appreciation by the staff. The food is very good. It's tasty and well proportioned. A wine was easily selected, however, if anything this is the only thin offering in the place. Everything else is as expected and well worth investing in. Do yourself a favour and go.

Tucked away in an unassuming strip of stores in this pocket of Noosa Heads, Rock Salt was impossible to fault. Impeccable and genuine service, fresh and beautiful food meant that this was probably the highlight meal of our Noosa holiday. From the best ravioli I’ve ever tried to the incredibly tasty roast duck, every element of each dish was considered, balanced and delicious. The portions were generous (for such fine dining, high end cuisine) and the attention to detail especially in ensuring our toddler was taken care of was appreciated and noted. Such a wonderful experience and one we will remember for a long time. We will be back for sure.

I firstly have to say that there were only two wait staff on the night we were there. But those two were AMAZING. These two were “gentlemen”. The minute we walked in we were laughing. Johnny was hilarious. The best thing about them both was clearly their experience. Not your average 25 year old waiter, oh no, these two were 50+. They were clearly skilled, in control & knew exactly how to handle everyone in that room. It proves once again, that experience way out classes youth. These two could run classes on how “it should be done”. Now the food - STUNNING! It was pricey, yes, but worth every cent. We had cocktails, white wine, red wine, entree, mains & 3 desserts between the two of us. At $249 I think that’s a bargain. I highly recommend this restaurant, so, do yourself a favour and book yourself a table. You won’t be disappointed.

My partner and I came here on our Noosa Holiday a few months ago, I've been meaning to write a review. Anywho they're still on my mind all these months later and it was an amazing experience. The staff were all so lovely and humourous, we couldn't have loved the service any better. And the food, can't even complain even if I wanted to. We had recommendations from the waiters themselves and it was the best choice we could've made, the duck my partner had was juicy, fell off the bone and to this day he still craves it. I had the steak and it was just phenomenal. We'll definitely be back in the future when we go back to Noosa! Thanks guys for that memory, you guys made it romantic and sweet for us. ❤️

Recently had dinner at Salt. The water that was poured when we were seated tasted like bleach so we had to purchase bottled water separately. The seating was cramped in and the wait staff could barely hear our orders, the table decor was made from paper. We expected a lot more from a fine dining restaurant. Apart from that, the food was delicious.
