It is a great building that I have been to many times over the last twenty odd years. The indoor space is a proper pub atmosphere, but the outdoor space is where it comes into it's own. Perfect for sitting outside in whatever the weather, but more importantly the perfect space for live music. A proper jewel in the centre of Northampton

I came here for an evening out on a Friday. Maybe a sign of the times, but it wasn't too busy. What was nice was the security guard was welcoming, there were a lot of servers available so there wasn't a long wait at all. The bar had a considerable selection available and multiple beers including some craft beers on tap. The prices were reasonable and a round came to about £16 for 3 people. Out back there was a covered area in the beer "garden", but mostly patio, where a live band set up shop. the only reason it didn't get 5 stars from me was the band was a little loud (literally only had to turn it down a bit) because it made conversation super difficult.

Amazing little pub right in the middle of Northampton. They had live music playing in the garden. The song selection was amazing. We had a couple of drinks and sat in the garden. The service was quick even with the pub being extremely crowded. It attracts a more senior crowd, not like there's anything wrong with that. It got very busy at around 11pm.

Usual pub food served hot and quick by very lovely staff. We were happy with the verity of ales on offer as this is not always easy to find. My one criticism would be how small the pub is to have the many big screen tv's, which means it can get uncomfortably packed when the local football or rugby is on. Plus points: town centre location, lovely staff, good range of pub food. Negatives: small, parking max stay 2hrs, gets busy very quickly on Saturdays.
