Buddies Usa Sixfields

An update on my previous review (below). Once again Rib eye from the Fixed Price menu. Had a starter this time, Black Pudding and Hash Browns. Excellent, hit with a nice runny egg on top and Hollandaise sauce. Rib eye was cooked well and as required, chips were hot and cooked well, Slaw was not watery as before. Service was good, I was advised of a wait when I arrived, though it turned out not to be that long. Will definitely be back, much better than motorway food when going to a match at Sixfields. Previous review (2 stars) Ordered the 10oz Rib eye steak from the Fixed Price menu. The steak was only about 4mm thick and I would question the uncooked weight of 10oz., I ordered medium so expecting nice and pink in the middle. The steak turned up Well Done, there was no visible marbling that gives a rib eye it's extra flavour and the steak was rather tough and completely lacking in flavour. The chips were also overcooked. The home made coleslaw was extremely watery. After eating my steak I was asked if I wanted to wait a few minutes before having my pudding. After replying yes my pudding turned up less than a minute later. Based on main course and service only 1 star, the second star is for the tasty chocolate cheesecake. Not somewhere I will be visiting again in a hurry

Can't go wrong with a buddies!! Huge choice available! Customer service is excellent, the waitresses are always super friendly and were engaging with my youngest daughter. I ordered my burger but I made it a super special order so it fell under my diet regime and they were only too happy to help. Nothing was too much trouble for them! As usual, burger was great! Atmosphere of the restaurant is lively but not distractingly so. All in all, a great evening!
