I've heard of this place for a year, and finally made it in for lunch today. Bustling with activity and lots of customers. Friendly staff and attentive to their customers. Loved the Lift Bridge Root Beer on tap! Ordered the corn beef and cup of the sausage and German potato soup. Really enjoyed the soup! Delicious flavors and very hearty! The bread on which the sandwich was made was equally good. Very fresh and complimented the sandwich. Sadly, the amount of corned beef on the sandwich left much to be desired. The meat didn't even reach from one end of the roll to the other just the salad. Next time I'll try the roast beef.

One of our favorite spots to eat whenever we're in Northfield. Delicious hot sandwiches on super soft bread, and a nice selection of soups to go with it. The perfect lunch spot on a cold or rainy day! Rustic "old building" feel, lots of local artists work displayed, and even live music on occasion.

Been here several times and no changes. Help there is young and they don't care. Had ordered 4 hogies for our family, my husband picked them up and came home with NO MEAT in any of them, just lettuce!! Called, they didn't seem to care. He drove back there to have them remake them and girls never even apologized. They never offered any type of credit or free cookie for our hassle and their stupid mistake! I'm done with this place as that was the second time in a row bad service (not 2nd time being there as lived here 16yrs, and use to go here alot). I even just had my birthday and we always go here for my free birthday hoagie but I said no way this year, went somewhere else and paid for my birthday meal.

We were so excited to stop in on Saturday as our family grew up in Northfield but have since moved away. Our experience was not pleasant 😭 employees were inattentive, rude when we calmly told them a sandwich was incorrect, half of our groups sandwiches were cold, and the beer cheese soup is not the same.. Breaks my heart to say this, but def not what it used to be.
