Jake's Wayback Norwalk

The service was great. The two people working there (Harry and Sebash(?)) were really friendly. On top of the friendly service the food was high quality and fresh. Give those two a raise. I came here a while ago and was expecting something similar but this was just much better than I had expected. It’s a little hidden away in a shopping center but it’s worth stopping by.

Every square inch of the dining room floor is sticky. I almost lost a shoe. The bathroom looks like it hasn't been cleaned since the place opened. And to top it all off we waited 5 mins to have our order taken with no one in front of us. The one employee couldn't keep her hands out of her long twisted braids, her hair was hitting and touching everything. Why isn't her hair pulled back while around food? Ordered a peach milkshake that was pre-made and pulled from a drawer refrigerator next to the cash register, it was mostly melted and didn't taste like peach at all.

This place needs to be reopened under new management. The service is an embarrassment. All of my DoorDash orders are wrong and missing items. Today was the worst when I found out an hour after my order should have arrived that the place lost my order. I called them and they said I must have canceled the order. The staff there is a joke. My family likes the burgers but we are always disappointed in some way when we order from this location.

Today was the best visit Since I’ve been in this store about 20+ times and never got greeted like I did today I guess the guy there is new but it felt really good to see a smile there wish I would have gotten his name but he helped me with my order when I couldn’t figure it out and it was great I will definitely be back good job wayback get more employees like him I will return UPDATE:: I’ve went buy yesterday 6/17/2022 and the service was horrible I wated for about 45 min for a order that they said was about 5-7 min to order it’s like they forgot about my food and my milk shake was so watery it was like drinking a cup of frozen milk my wife got a fountain soda and she had black stuff floating around where is the old crew this new crew needs better training and communication I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS STORE

I would love to leave a five star, however I can’t. Food was spectacular! Me and my wife crave going here all the time because it’s close and convenient, and the burgers are so delicious! However... the past three times we’ve come, they always seem to be closing when we’re ordering? And the shake machine is always broken? And only specific things on the menu are able to be ordered. Love the food, just wish I could order off the whole menu, and try one of their spectacular shakes!

The food was good, and the service was nice. But note to self to the manager who works here. If you are going to prep food in the front where customers can see you wear gloves. Watching her scoop icecream amd seeing the icecream on her hands as she prepared the shakes. Made me upset. When I asked about different shakes found out she was the manager doing it just because the food is cold doesnt mean your germs are safe. Wear gloves lady. This place could work on cleanliness.
