went many times to this restaurant but we have noticed that the place is unsanitary to be in. during these times and weather there should be AC and coolness in the environment yet there is nothing. with this pandemic situation everything should be clean and sanitized. tables should be cleaned for costumers. when the air conditioning is off, all the food smell from the kitchen will circulate back to where people are eating and create a strong unpleasant smell which is very uncomfortable to eat around. overall we are not satisfied.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCED: I’ve been coming here for years and loved it. Today unfortunately had the worst experience ever. We Ordered three orders of bolon con chicharrón and a ceviche. When my stepdad bit into the chicharrón (pork) it was bitter, rotten... to say the least it smelled bad... (I’m sure you all know how serious and dangerous pork can be).I complained to the owner and didn’t even received an apology for it. We felt like we were ignored.I work in the industry so I know mistakes do happen, however it’s about how you as an owner handle the situation. She offered us another order of meat when you know it was all seasoned, mix, and fried together. Not only that but they had the guts to charge us full price for the food when only the ceviche was eaten. When asked about it she said she had offered another order of the meat (which doesn’t make any sense since it’s MIXED ALL TOGETHER). I understand small business should be supported but when the business does not satisfy the customers they should find ways to do so. Will not go there again, and I’ll make sure I tell my family and friends about it. Not only did we came here to eat but also came for karaoke night, we did our fair share of eating, and drinking here so letting a $50 tab go as an apology for what happened would not had kill them. I’m sure in the long run they will lose more than we are. On that note I don’t complain about prices when it’s good food, service, and amenities. but also it’s the restaurant that has raised its prices the most around here. Please people be extra careful especially with meat products. So if you want good quality Ecuadorian food there is el ídolo which is smaller but if you have time it’s great food, and reasonable prices.

We went there the first time in the summer and we were positively surprised, however, their quality has gotten worse. The lomo soltado ingredient ratio is about 80% rice, 8% fries, 8% steak, 2% onion, and 2% sauce. Maybe they just give you just less when you take it out but it sure has less and less over time. It used to be more. The quart container for the civiche was half way filled this time, whereas it usually is filled to the top. Very disappointing. Do not get take out, we will do dine in next time. Hopefully that’ll be better.
