Sabor De Mi Pueblo

I happened to see this place while biking down Main St. and exploring Norwalk for the first time. Didn't know what to expect of the area cuz I'm not local whatsoever. I went in and the atmosphere was perfect, relaxed place with good music playing. I place my order for a small lunch plate and they (promptly) bring out a massive spread of not only what I ordered (pasta with shrimp) but a heap of some of the best rice I've had in a long time and a fresh side salad as well. It was some of the best food I've had in a very long time and I'll be going out of my way to go there again and again as long as I can.

I love this place. I don’t really know much about Honduran Cuisine. I’m glad I tried it because now I love it!!! The staff here is very friendly and accommodating. What I love most about Sabor de mi Pueblo (Taste of my Hometown) is its homey atmosphere which helps every dish I've enjoyed feel like a home cooked meal. The food is why I came, but the feeling of the place is why I stayed. I recommend that you try the food, you'll love it to. ;-)

Rude! This restaurant is fairly new and the service is not great. The menu is also inconsistent. Yesterday I called to place an order and they explained that they didn't have what I wanted until the next day. Ok that's fair. When I called to place the same order I was told they sold by the pound, also fair. However their pricing is double the price of every other restaurant in the area. I was in shock so I said, "oh wow, that's more expensive than all the other restaurants in the area." Then I began to say that's fine. I'll order it, I was then hung up on! Even if it wasn't what he wanted to hear, it's never appropriate to hang up on a customer. Not to mention I live close so had his service been good I would have been there EVERY week for the other things on the menu. When I called back to ask if he had hung up on me he told me "I don't have time for this, you think my food is expensive, so I dont have time for this." Um sir, that is called CUSTOMER SERVICE. He has now lost my business and I will continue to tell this story so NONE of my friends go there. "Big mistake! Big! Huge!" Lol hope yall get the reference.

Avoid this place unles you want to get assaulted. I had ordered something for delivery and I’m literally 1 block away from where they are located. The person who made the delivery was late and lost even after I had told her where my apt was. The total of the order was 17 dollars and change I had taken out 25 from my wallet to also give a tip. I had had a few drinks but I’m also not stupid to realize what was going on, the person finally arrived and I gave her the money she left the food the food was cold and it just wasn’t good at that moment I had regretted ordering from them again. As I stand in my kitcken looking at the food I get a phone call from the restaurant telling me that I had only given the girl 5 dollars when I know that wasn’t true because I double checked myself as I told the guy over the phone that I would just drive down and return the food he said ok and I drove as I got there the girl how had deliver came bursting from the back trying to fight with me as in telling them that the food was cold and I had paid her some other man came from the back and grabbed me by my right arm. It’s is unbelievable what happened but they said that I was drunk when I clearly know what happed. Spend your money elsewhere I’m from Honduras and I know what Hondurian food should be like the 3 times I tried their food I was impressed until someone grabbed me and lied about the delivery money. Stay away and spend your money elsewhere.
