We found Star Diner on a Google search. Arriving, we noticed there was no sign other than "Open", and a sign on the door that said, "cash only". We also noticed that there was a disproportionate number of cars present for the size of the restaurant. We wondered if it operated like the Tardis, bigger on the inside than the outside. Attempting to enter, we waited as a local exited, well versed in the rule of "close the door behind you". (We later witnessed the correction of the non-native who did not know this rule.) The place was packed, but a table opened up almost immediately and we were able to be seated. Service was quick and friendly. The food was delicious! The menu consists of mostly breakfast foods and some sandwiches, including hamburgers.

My dad and I had a great experience!
I had a bacon and cheese omelette- it came with home fries. Dad got one of the specials that came with the sausage gravy. It was all extremely delicious!
We would both come here again.

Their philly cheesesteak omelet is the best omelet I've ever had in my life. The staff is really friendly and attentive, and they all hustle to provide really prompt service in a tight little spot. Our go-to breakfast diner in Norwalk!

From top to bottom the best breakfast in Norwalk! I always do pick up because inside is always crazy busy and place is tiny. Always ready on time and friendly! Cash only spot tho. Threw me off first time i went.

We got here at 10 till 2 and we were welcomed in. We had a very good lunch and for today's prices was very reasonable. Will definitely be stopping again when are in Norwalk
