Hartz Chicken Buffet

A place where everyone comes in to eat! The door revolves, the hungry walk in, the line is already set in place. There is absolutely no shrink here, the pans are over worked and seasoned nicely. Home of a long deep down soul of good eats, Hartz brings it right home. A place where everyone knows your name, cheers quietly settles at the waist line, there is no shame to your eating game here. Add that notch to your guilty pleasure, rightfully delicious and certainly ambitious!

We are chefs always looking for a hometown feel and great homemade food. If you are looking for excellently crafted food, this is your place! The fried chicken is well spiced, breaded perfectly, and juicy! The sides and buffet are top notch. The owners are very open and welcoming, and even though this is our first time here, we felt like we were in our hometown eating with family and friends. Keep up the great work, we will be telling everyone, and will be back again! A five star restaurant in our honest opinion!

I love this place! I don’t go very often because I will gorge myself to near-explosion every time I am here, but it’s a great place and the buffet is excellent. If you’ve never been to Hartz, their fried chicken is typical southern style. Crispy, juicy chicken. Very flavorful and lots of it. The rest of the buffet is terrific, too - great salad bar, fantastic sides, and the dessert bar is one of my favorites. The cobbler is WONDERFUL.

Great home made delicious food!! Best fried chicken ever!! Also, delicious fried gizzards and livers, great rice and gravy and green beans, sweet potatoes, corn, salad bar, bread rolls and many many more home made delicious food items on the best buffet ever!! The food and employees are always five star. There is an issue that needs to be addressed. I brought two friends in motorized wheelchairs to eat supper this evening. The handicap entrance and ramp is very narrow concrete. The ramp at the side door is wider in some spots, but still not sufficient to allow most motorized chairs. The.ramp is more narrow than the wheelbase of the chairs. There is also no turning radius sufficient to maneuver a chair. One of my two friends couldn’t enter the building at all. The other scraped his feet trying to drive up the ramp and turn to get in the door. There is only one table that didn’t have chairs bolted to the floor around it, that had enough room for a wheelchair to fit. The staff was wonderful as always, but I felt horrible for my friends. Please evaluate this set of limitations. Someone was unable to enter your building tonight simply because he was in a wheelchair and the set-up is insufficient to actually access the building. I’m sure we are on camera trying to enter and you can review the footage to see the issues. Thank you.
