Dino's

Without a doubt, my favorite breakfast destination on the rare occasion that my work brings me to Oceanside. Friendly and welcoming service, reasonable prices, and tasty food. The buttermilk pancakes are awesome, and I've promised myself to be adventurous and try their wacky pancake flavors whenever I'm next in town... Churro pancakes? Sign me up! Awesome.

The customer service is what literally turned me away. I haven't even been able to try their food yet. The first time here, it was too close closing for them to seat us. No problem, we'd try again next time. This past Saturday we wanted to try Dino's for brunch. Arrived and were told it would be a 10-15 minute wait. No problem again. 15 minutes turned into 20+. A pair were sat finally who arrived before us, then the hostess, Alexis, looked us straight in the eye and said "you're next". Upon this, I peeked inside and there was open seating EVERYWHERE. A few minutes later a family of about 6 showed up, and they were sat immediately, even after being told a party of TWO was next. We had enough, and went down to Hello Betty down the street which ended up being an amazing decision. Work on your customer service, if you have a shortage of wait staff (this was my guess, even though it was a weekend so there should have been coverage), COMMUNICATE that to your paying customers or you will just continue to lose business. You've already lost our business two times and we won't be returning for a third.

Tuesdays buy 1 get 1 free burgers!!! So worth it!! Great burgers! We got the Barnyard which is a delicious burger with all the normal fixings topped with an egg bacon and avocado of course!!! and The Gizzard which has the best turkey burger I've ever had arugula avocado and a heaping pile of melted gruyere cheese. Omg! so bomb!!
