One Love Island Cuisine

I had a great take out experience. The menu represents most things you’ll find common on trips to Jamaica. The service was first rate, and the food was good. I got the jerk chicken, which was very good at least on comparison to visits to Jamaica. The Pattie’s were good, but could do with a bit more meat in my opinion. I’ll look forward to exploring more the menu.

I was in the mood to try something new and found this little Jamaican place in the heart of Oceanside. Boneless Jerk Chicken was tender and flavorful Vegan Ital was tasty too served with rice I really liked plantains. Steamed cabbage was sort of bland tho Other then that It was delicious . Ordered take out meal for my son's birthday. He reported that the food was delicious. My son's friend told me that once he (the friend) tasted the oxtail his legs were kicking uncontrollably 🤣🤣🤣. I'm in TX, and when i explained to the owner what i wanted, she was able to help me chose the best plate sizes for a reasonable price! My son can't wait to sample the rest of the menu!

I was so happy this place is still around! I don't get out this way that much but every time I do I find an excuse to stop here and eat. The staff is ridiculously friendly and the food is insanely good. You can bring some home to your friends and I guarantee they will praise you for it. This food is definitely in my top five all time favorites. What's so cool is that it's consistently good. You know how you go some place and it's good and then next time you go it's only so so. I am like having a mouth orgasm every time I go here.

All I can say is flavor blast! One of the best unique places in the area. Small shop offering take-out only. Took about 10 minutes for our order, about $14 for each plate after taxes. The meats are SO tender. The flavors are strong. Portions are large. There's really no reason not to try this place. You'll love it (Jerk chicken is no-joke spicy)

Owner and wife very nice. Food very authentic. Go in spend $40 for 2 diners, Take it home and WOW the portions are SO MINIMAL for that $ and this type of food...To my wife and I that was a big disappointment. Its too bad, I won't go back because we look at value that delivers good food and a sufficient amount. The portions were VERY sparse, making the place just not worth it.

I love Jamaican food but everything here was greasy, from my plate to the patty. I asked for a wrap and got a burrito, no biggie because I can cut it in half myself. An Asian woman that works in the back was twirling her hair so I question sanitary. I’m not satisfied. $60 down the drain. I gave a three for effort and the sweet lady at register.
